Istria is positioned very well. It is very close to the western European countries which is very interesting for people who like travelling by cars (90% of Croatian tourists coming by the cars) and at the same time it's very close to the the eastern countries which is kind of tourist bridge.

Economically, Istria is the most developed region in Croatia.

According to the experts, the property prices in Istria will be increasing in the next years since the volume of the Croatian tourism rises approximatelly 6% per year.

Istria compared to the other regions in their neighbourhood has well developed infrastructure.

EU citizens can buy properties in their private name. Before Croatia entered EU, one need to set up a company to buy a property in Croatia.

Swiss, Norwegian, US and some other not-EU nationalities might also buy a property in the name by asking foreign ministry for the approval based on the reciprocal rules. Other people can buy a property throught the company that might be setup quickly.

Istria is well conected with Pula and Rijeka (Krk) airport to London, Dusseldorf, Zurich, Zagreb and other places and has highway that connects Rijeka and Koper(Slovenia) and Trieste (Italy).
